One of the great things about being a member is receiving invites to our monthly dinner meetings. These meetings are held at alternating locations within the County. You can enjoy a catered dinner and socialize with other members and folks interested in the unique history of Calaveras County. Dinner is followed by a program with a talk or presentation by an expert regarding a topic related to the history of the County.

The member dinners have been a long tradition of CCHS, dating back to 1952. In recent years these dinners have become quite popular and are always a good time for all.

Dinner meetings are always the 4th Thursday of the month, except November which is the 3rd Thursday. We do not host meetings in August and December.

Dinner meetings are for members of the Society. To make your reservation, call the CCHS office at 209-754-1058; you may pay by phone with a credit card or make arrangements to send a check payable to CCHS at PO Box 721, San Andreas, Ca, 95249. You need to call and make a reservation to attend the meeting.
